XCOM 2 is the sequel to Enemy Unknown, XCOM’s strategy favorite and critics’ favorite and winner of the “Game of the Year” title in 2012. The world has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders signed an act of unconditional surrender to the newcomers. The XCOM Organization, the last frontier of Earth’s defense, has been destroyed and its remains scattered across the world. In XCOM 2, the planet is ruled by aliens, building it with glittering cities and promising humanity a cloudless future. But the aliens are secretly making evil plans and destroying anyone who refuses to live by the new rules. Only those living on the outskirts of the new world preserved remnants of freedom. They join forces to fight against the invaders. Forced to constantly hide from the enemy superior in strength, former XCOM agents seek to revive their organization, expose the invaders and destroy them once and for all.
